Best way to grow out juvenile Blue Umbees.

Best way is to raise 1 by itself in a large tank that always get clean water.

I keep my babies same like any other fish I ever brought in my tank. Same as other cichlids just need more space. Well Im doing fine with them right now until they get too big and they already had fry batch.

And I think beefheart is actually good for its purpose. U just gotta know how to feed it ; and to the right fish.

Yes diet does play a part in the potential of your fish but I've had so much success with so many different foods that as long as your feeding your fish something from any of the competitors you will he fine.

Which tends to contradict what you have stated about feeding a variety of different brand name foods, yes? :)

I measure the health of a fish by much more than simply color, and/or growth, and those health standards that help me measure the overall success of my feeding regime take place every day - it's not just a matter of which fish lives the longest. Even if I only keep a fish for 6 months, I want it to be the healthiest it can be during those 6 months. It doesn't always work out that way when one experiments with Asian hybrid genetic crap (sigh) but a strong immune system fueled by natural bioactive compounds certainly has proven to make a huge difference in immunostimulation, anti-stress, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-virals in a fish.

Sometimes the things that give one feed an extra edge over another are difficult to measure from fish to fish, and tank to tank.

Either way, just giving you a hard time. ;)
