Best/Worst Heaters

I have Jagers that are probably 20 years old. The thermostats are broken but they still crank out heat. I just use it as a second heater in a larger tank than it's rated for so it's not as if it'll cause a problem even if it's on 100% of the time.

The only heater that I've had (I've tried them all) that I can actually set at a temperature and absolutely trust that it'll hold it is the Via Aqua titanium.

No idea how it stands the test of time, but performance-wise it's the best I've had. Best suction cups too.

I've got a Fluval E series heater & love it. A little more expensive but you get what you pay for.

I sue the Visi-therm and they work very well have not had any problems with them malfunctioning, but several have broken due to my large fish hitting them. I also have the Eheim and they have been flawless. Keep in mind the Visi-Therm come with a life time guarantee.

Thanks all. I ended up goin wit an 150W Aqueon. Had a glass one in my 20 that was at least 10 years old.....this one is "unbreakable" and fully submergible. The fluval wasn't, and petsmart doesn't sell ehiem jagers. but the black heater sticks out a bit against the blue background lol. but it's okay b/c it's in the far left corner and i got a huge piece of holey rock that's 16" from right side as my focal point.

I am sure I will get slammed here haha

But I use marineland heaters for my tanks and they are the heaters that are used at work.
I have 5 marineland heaters at home (vistherm and stealth) and there are 19 (vistherm and steath) heaters at work. No issue yet and most have been running for 5 years plus.

So yeah, 24 marineland heaters that I take care of in different size tanks.

I do also have 2 fluvals which I hate and one rena that I do like as well.
