hello
i know there is alot of beta fighter on mfk
i was wondering
just wondering
(no need to start a war)
how do you train your bettas to fight??
i know they fight thru instinct
but how do you increase there fighting skills
im just wondering
what are some of your ways
and ive found a plakat at my lfs for 5 bucks
is that a good deal
considering that ive never seen them in a fish store??

I don't think there's any Betta Fighters here, tell you the truth.

You can train your betta to fight by getting it a ten gallon tank that is well planted. This will give your betta ample room to swim and get in better shape, also it will "spar" or pretend fight with the plants. After 5 years of training in this matter only then will your betta truely be a top notch fighter.

Only a sicko would use a training method other then this one.

ive had some and i let them beat up on some feeders
they got really aggresive
and then i tried putting a small stick in and letting them chase it around along with females
but why wait 5 years??

Because what you're doing is ridiculous, irresponsible, and cruel. There's a reason Betta Fighting is illegal in Thailand, where it started. And if Bettas are your idea of aggressive, you havent help many species of fish..

put your bettas tank in front of a TV and go rent every UFC dvd ever made...by the time you are done. Oh and hire it a personal trainer! Oh wait! Pour RAW EGGS in its tank! Didnt you see rocky?

Seriously this thread needs to be shut down...

Use India almond leaves.. It helps in many ways. But dude dont train ur fighters for fighting. I train them for show.. U could keep 2 of them in a small tank with a divider.

just play "Eye of the Tiger" repeatedly.

Seriosly, this is just about as right as training pitbulls to fight...

Because some bettas can live upto 5 years, although 3 years is about the max. Illinois? Mike, I though you were in Atlanta
