Wow, that was a great vid. congrats ewurm and danepatrick. That's the first time i saw how they lay eggs.

;)

I didn't do anything, they just took it upon themselves while I was sleeping. At least somebody is getting laid in my house.

danepatrick,,, that video was the collest thing ever, did he put the eggs in the bubbles after that? It looked like he ate them.

Update: I ravaged the nest a bit netting out the female, and lost a lot of eggs. There is still a good clutch though, and he is working feverishly to keep them there.

yea, he put them in the bubble nest after. however, last night he ate a few (i think). either he shuffled them around and spreaded the nest out, or he ate some. it looks like there aren't as many.

thanks for the compliments on my video guys!

he will clean up those unfertile or spoiled eggs, and he will did the same to the fries, eat the weak fries and preserve the healthy one.

Should I remove the male when they hatch? I was told on this thread to remove him, want to save as many as possible, and I don't have a lot of eggs left.

Doesn't look like many left. If I don't have fry tomorrow, I am going to clean the tank and start over.

Take out female, leave male inside tell bettas fry hatch at that point the male shoule be talken out. The fry will live of the the yocksac tell they become free swiming when this happens feed them micro food. Have fun:clap
