Hi,
Just wondering if i put in my Betta in the same tank with my plecos, if the Betta will hassle or bother my plecos?

What plecos do you have? Your betta will not bother any of them but if your plecos happen to be the more aggressive ones, then we may have a problem. Bristlenose plecos, common plecos, whiptails and some smaller varieties are oblivious though.

even with the docile plecos be carefull.I had a common but after awhile when it reched 8" it was like it was PMS-ing and started attacking other fish in the tank.Either way just observe them.Should be fine with the more docile ones I think.

I just wanted to let you know that this offensive. There are female fishkeepers on this site (such as myself), and I thought you may not realize that this is offensive and not even a good reason for what you observed at all. Likely what you observed was aggression, brought on by a male of the species, and not a female! It could be that it was starving, as plecos are often underfed. Depending on tank size, it could have been cramped and frustrated. I'm not sure if fish have a menstrual cycle. But I can almost guarantee it was not this.

a betta wont bother it.. it might look at it and try to flair his gills.. but it wont bother it.. Should be a good mix... i myself have never actually house a betta with pleco...

i have a few species of bristlenose plecos.

pics when it goes in? Of course PMS-ing is offensive but its no need to get upset he wasn't telling a women she was, just saying it about a pleco. i apologise if it offends you.

Ays, I think you are fine. I never had a bristlenose pleco attacking bettas although admittedly, I had a male bristlenose that went after several of my discus three years ago but it ignored my bettas anyway.

ive had an oscar that was 15" and 2 lil 2 inch plecos. no other fish really want anything to do wit them so ya give t a try
