I have a male veil tail betta in my 30 gallon community aquarium. Would it be a good idea to add a female betta to the aquarium. The livestock in the aquarium has no other nippy fish or territorial males/females. There are other female fish though. 2 female platties, white clouds. 1 female mollie and zebra danio. Would it be okay if i added i female betta in the mix?

Females should only be with males after the male builds the bubble nest. Most other times the male will kill the female or vice versa. I have seen it work in a 75g with about 40 females and 3 males, but with only two and not much space, the odds are not good.

well... anyone know wat fish in my stock would kill a betta b/c one of them did... im pretty bummed about it 2
