I don't really hear to much on these guys. What are your guys thoughts about these guys? How I feel about bettas is I think they are very interesting fish one thing I dislike is people say they are aggressive my opinion on these guys is that they are not aggressive. I remember my brother bought 7 of these bad boys and put them inside a 2.5 Gallon to try to get them to fight. They swam around for hours. Till this day my brother still has them in the tank with each other. I know wild ones are aggressive but not captive ones. Have you guys ever kept some of these guys?

It may really just depend on the fish. I've had multiple bettas from store bought ones to 5 that came straight from Taiwan (I had a connection) and none of them ever got along to where I could keep multiple ones in the same tank. I wish I still had photos but I lost them when my computer crashed years ago =\ they were quite beautiful fish.

If you can find someone who can get the nice ones imported - they can get become quite addicting and they are not cheap. After mine died off and I no longer had a connection I stopped collecting them.

We have one in an old 5 gallon marineland hex I just have some filter floss in the filter compartment... he's lived in there by himself for the past 2yrs+ now ( tbh I lost track how old he is, I just know he's older then our 2yr old lol. pretty sure hes at the 3+mark but eh) we've tried breeding him a few times in a 20L and he kept killing the females so we just left him to his 5gallon. hes a fun lil' guy to have on my bedroom dresser, easier to take care of then a hamster... my biggest "feelings" about bettas is most people put them in tiny cups and expect them to thrive... just like any other fish they do best w/ a filter and regular water changes... but they are one of the few fish suitable for these "nano" type tanks out there, and if you do abit of research and put them on a good food (not just "betta bites" ect) they will thrive w/out much else then good basic husbandry practices.

"Cujo" not the best pics but I don't take many pictures of him.

Ive always liked bettas - I don't own any currently, but I always find myself looking at them on Aquabid. BTW, Aquabid has a great selection of bettas - wild types & domestics.

Or you can go wild type Betta albimarginata..there are many lovely types of bettas other than betta splendens

they are lovely fish and do best 2-3 males per female they are mouth brooders^_^ I breed them
