Bettas and some fish

Do you keep them in that small container(Is that a whisky glass???) outside? What about temperature fluctuations? What's the lowest tempertaure you get there? Here i've kept betta fry outside in about 14 degees C.
I've NEVER been able to make bettas get through winter in bowls. :cry:
Any tips for me??

nope i keep them in a tub outside

Yeah some kind of cancer. Black melano or something... I've read on that before. They don't breed true at all i think.
