Betta's - In a Freshwater Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I keep bettas in my small community tanks. Just don't keep bettas with other anabantoids or similar finned fish and you will be fine. Not too much current either.

just dont keep them with your tiger barbs that youve got, as they will tear it apart, hows is the treatment coming for the ich?

I have kept a male betta with my community fish before. He absolutely loved having all that room to swim around in.

thanks! sounds good..... i'm considering getting one of the long finned ones, so its good to know. would i have to feed them special betta food? or would the food im feeding my other fish (a variety of frozen bloodworms, brineshrimp, and veggies, plus some flakes every now and then) be ok?

even if i have enough tirger barbs that they dont nip at anything do you still thing they might nip the betta?
hummm....

the treatments going well, i think.the heats still up, and i'm changing a bit water today to help, then adding the salt ot make of for the water change.

the tiger barbs havent gotten the ich, but my other three fish have. which sucks..
im still not going to get any more fish until im completly sure that all the ich is gone, how long do you think that might be?
