Bettas together?

It doesn't hurt to try, it's not like putting a discus with a snapping turtle. I've had two aggressive bettas living together in a 15 gallon very heavily planted with anacharis, it was so dense they didn't have the room to fight without bumping into obstacles. Put them together and see what happens; if they really start to kill eachother, separate them; if only a few torn fins, no biggie

just out of curiosity what would happen if I was to do a 20 gallon wiith like 20 or so bettas? Would the entire group fight?

it'd be a blood orgy of flaring gills and flashing fins.
