  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
never got any aggression from the big one I used to have, but then again, none of my cichlids bothered any of my catfish.....my pardalis plecos were the ones who had the attitudes, believe it or not.

Yea I had a Sailfin who like chasing others around he was large.

Reactions: Frank Castle
But they are only a small-mouthed, bristle-tooth catfish, right? That mouth doesn't look like it could hurt anything bigger than an inch or so.....

If I remembered correctly I believe they have small teeth. Mine shredded my 4 line cats fins and left teeth marks all over their body.

What kind of tankmates were with the syno eupterus fishnatics fishnatics ?

I think it won't be an issue with an Oscar. The bigger cichlids should be ok. Like frank castle mentioned already.

When I had the synodontis it's tankmates were 3 4 line cats and a breeding group of dragon blood cichlids.

I also have bull head cats in my area. If i could capture one about 4-5" do you think that would work better? worse?

Oscar might try to eat it.
....and it could also introduce unwanted pathogens into your tank. IDK WHY people are so quick to put locally caught fish in their captive tanks of Cichlids and other fish. They need to be quarantined and dosed with medication as a safeguard and then should NOT be returned to public waterways afterwards
