Better late than never

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Marineland lists it at 460 pounds

the freight listed it at 650

I would say it is some where in between there.

My only suggestion for any type of filtration would be filter socks if you are not already planning on running them.

I am hoping to have this thing stocked within a month we will see how that gos :)

Also I did not mention we used the double suction cup lifting handles. I got 4 of them from harbor freight. I tried not to put the whole weight of the tank on them because I sort of didn't trust them for that but they where great for manipulating purposes when it was hard to get a grip on the tank.

I picked my tank up with my friend and 2 removal guys and we used the straps to carry a piano so did not need to hold the glass and we had to get it through patio doors out a small gate down a long alley way then into the van then when i got it home we took the window out and slid it in on the unit but i found the straps worked really well.

But your tank looks good cant wait to see it filled.

count me in on the tank warming party lol

congrats! tank looks great!!

I have only painted the back panel black so far. I will be doing all the plumbing to the filter tomorrow. The 1.5" bulkheads are huge LOL I picked those up today at the LFS I work at part time. I will hopefully update with some plumbing done tomorrow :)

My dad was not feeling well enough to help me today so very limited progress. Got some plumbing roughed out nothing is glued yet just dry fitting :(

This should work and be relatively quiet since it won't be sucking any air with the top open. Whats everybody think?
