Bah Weep Grana Weep Nini Bong, Everyone!
I joined MFK a couple of weeks ago but just found this particular area for introductions haha. I'm located in Upstate NY and have been keeping fish for years. I have always had a fascination for the polypterus species and just began foraying into serious poly keeping. I wanted rope fish for the longest time and currently have a 65gal with one senegal, Caligula, and two new rope fish. I want to upgrade to a 100+ gal tank; that will require some new challenges that I have not yet faced but I am eager to try. I want a new, bigger, and better home for my guys. They currently occupy the tank with a bristlenose and a very small sail fin pleco. Two glass cats and a hatchetfish also inhabit the tank and are still too large to be eaten, but I know one day that will not be the case. I would hope my future larger tank can hold my polys and sail fin pleco and the 65 can be a peaceful community tank. I'm experimenting with plants and things are going ok. My plecos seem to really enjoy eating them haha, but trial and error are what it's about.
My biggest passion in life, however is for a different classification of predator. I am currently two semesters away from finishing my bachelor's in zoology with a focus on big cats. I hope to one day open up my own sanctuary for big cats. In my spare time, I like to read and make artwork. Anyway, Hi! It's great to be here! Here's a general shot of my tank as it is right now
