How would you place the Koralias to archive that affect?

Place one in an upper corner and another in the opposite lower corner so it makes a circular flow pattern.

and the 2 intakes at the 2 back corners right?

- Oh and what is the general consensus on Seachem Matrix? (the pond matrix is even cheaper)

Oh its website it says Matrix contains between 4 to 4.5 times the biologically active surface area of Substrat Pro, and between 8 to 9 times the biologically active surface area of MicroMec.

This stuff is alot cheaper then substrat pro too!

I did some research and the substrate pro is clearly superior, how does matrix compare to the plain substrat?

and HarleyK - Where did you find those prices? I live in Canada btw, hows the shipping?

Howdy,

But I have one more concern. Does a single 2260 provide sufficient water circulation on a 180G?

My 220 gal (6ft) has excellent water movement with the 2262. As others said, you can always add a power head (or your 2217) if you see need for more water movement. But I doubt it's necessary.

www.bigalsonline.com :D

Heads up - BigAlsOnline is doing a 10% off everything. It doesn't ship to Canada though, and the Canadian website is alot more expensive and crappier.

I've used Matrix to good effect before in Eheim canisters. Still, I would only use SubPro now due to its shape and the benefits that offers (not as easy to clog, easier to clean, less fine in size, etc.).

I might sub the substrat (not pro) for matrix if the price differential is large.

man why are canadian prices so crap.

I can get a FX5 for $200 CAD and the 2262 for $600 I think I'm reconsidering..

:(
