The owner on the landscaping place said that its safe for aquarium, he said some people put it in the pond, and he said that he'll give the company that makes the sand to make sure its safe.

It almost looks lile what im using (red flint sand) its nice but next tank i think im gonna donthe red garnet stuff
I did ask him him he can find me a darker red than the pinkish one, he said he'll ask the company that makes it.
I use the caribsea floramax volcano red for substrate

That is very similar to what I had previously. Very nice clay like mixed in. Great for aquascaping. I love it!
I only switched back to a deep red when my pbb, Dabola, faranah markings faded quite a bit.
If you were to use that I would very thoroughly clean it and rinse it out before putting it in other than that I don't see why not
