Was rewatching Beverly Hills, 90210 Season 9 Episode 21 and noticed something pretty interesting from a fish hobby perspective.There’s a scene where a woman is holding a bag with a dead fish, and she calls it a “red arowana” and "cost $3000 dollars." It’s pretty obvious the show is referencing an Asian Arowana. Thought it was a really unusual and oddly specific fish choice for a TV storyline, especially for something that aired back in 1998. Most viewers probably wouldn’t think twice about it, but anyone in the aquarium hobby would definitely catch that reference. Just found it a cool and unexpected detail.
