Here is a few video of a "platinum jardini" that recently purchase. Out of stupidity, I made a purchase out of emotion instead of using my head. Here is a utube video from the seller: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wkh6zc19TQ

Here is a video of the same fish after 2days in my tank: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3QX5G7y21Y&feature=channel&list=UL
and here is a video of the same fish after 8th days in the same tank as the video above.

I told the seller that I do not think the fish is platinum jardini to which he reply, " change the 6500k light bulb and put fish in bigger tank because the fish looks stress." Mind you, the fish is around 6-7" in a 135 gallon tank with a 6' Current PC lamp.

After a few email back and forth, he thinks that I swapped his fish because the fish color is not the same as his.

Really hard to tell if it is the same fish. They look similar but the one in your tank does look stressed. Your tank looks overstocked too. Still really hard to say if it is the same fish. I looked back and forth several times to both videos. There is resemblances but the one in your tank has darker markings in the fins.

Just went to your youtube channel and saw you uploaded an 11th day video in which the fish is alone w/ a black background. The fish shouldn't still be stressed. It doesn't look like the fish in the sellers video. And even if you have superb lighting I do not think it will magically make this fish look better. IMO he probably sent you a different fish. Lesson learned, don't buy these "rare colored" fish. Way overpriced for something not even that special. And a lot of the time sellers scam you too.

I explained to the seller that a platinum fish will not have the pigmentation to change into darker color like a regular jardini. His reply was that it was only my opinion.
I made two videos. One is 1day with a white background and one day with a blackground with all the same condition such as: lights, filter, camera, temperature, and tank.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydNs85UFQ0I&feature=channel&list=UL white background.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ztg-9wUFxM&feature=channel&list=UL blackground.

I tried telling the seller that the fish are the same, but he think I swapped them. If you look closely to his video, you can see that on the right side of the fish, about 1.5" back toward the tail, there is two bruise marking and and in my video, that same marking is there. Its just that its easier to see when the fish is darker.

The jardini is much lighter in white background then in the blackground.

I think its the same fish in the video, but I don't think its a platinum jardini. With the fish in my possession, it got darker and darker because I use dark gravel and regular aquarium background. The fish from his and mine video that that same right side marking.
Yeah, I agree, It was an impulse emotional purchase. Stupidity on my end. After a few emails, seller said the fish comes with chip and certificate but I check the shipping box again and found no certificate.

Did you get this from a reputable vendor? Plats don't change color like that. You obviously did not get what you ordered. I would ask for my money back. Plat jars are not cheap so I would not let it go. Don't let him convince you with his bull about changing kelvin. Sorry to hear this happened to you. A real bummer!

The fish was not from a vendor, but from another member here. I saw that he had positive rating so I went for it. He thinks that I swap the aro. I try to tell him that its the same fish and that platinum do not change color like that. I told him that he either got conned into thinking the fish was platinum or he tried to con me. He insisted that he has been keeping exotic fish for 15yrs and I am trying to pull a fast one on him.
