BGJD fry update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Most likely I have lost some fry. You cant save them all. But I havent seen any dead bodies, so I havent lost any within the past month or so... They are hungry little mfk'ers though.. I feed them 6-8 times a day and clean the gravel at the end of each day... They are growing quickly and their colors are coming in beautifully... BB (my female) laid quite a lot of eggs.. Definitely a couple hundred..

In comparison I would say I have about 100 fry.. Probably 1/6 of the eggs is my guess.. Its tough to count all the eggs and all the swimming fry

I love watching them grow.. what an experience. The way they learn from the mother and mimic her every move.. follow her around the tank.. swarm onto food like a feeding frenzy.. totally badass

The new clutch leads to a couple questions....

How much breeding is too much?? Maybe I should start a new thread for this q

Are the parents still with their fry when they laid eggs again,or do you have them separated?

The parents and fry were/are separate. The mother was with the fry for about 2 1/2 months after they were hatched. She's been back with her bf for about 3 days or so and I noticed they were all lovey dovey so I separated them from the rest of the stock.

did u make that divider
