BGJD - Fry

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You can't tell if a jack is a blue gene without it either producing eb fry or by knowing one of it's parents was eb.

Edit: if you're asking which ones are eb you can't tell yet. Gonna have to play the waiting game until they start showing color. :) Awesome that you got some fry!

Congrats, Thanks for sharing the video.

You're welcome. I have another pair of BGJDs that I believe is getting ready to spawn as well. Lots of loving & her tube has dropped down. Probably give them a nightcrawler treat later or some spirulina brine shrimp. That seems to help. I do have 2 EBJDs but they are way too small yet to spawn. I am hoping they're a pair.

Thanks, I can tell some of they fry are smaller than the others and when looking ( through a magnifying app on my iphone) they appear lighter than the others. It would be impossible to separate them at this point. Just don't want to wait until the others turn on them. :(

I thought I remembered seeing a thread on determining fry before and they were able to tell at the free swimming stage relatively well. Maybe I'm wrong.

But I do know that the eb will be whiter or yellower than the others before they are blue
