There's no difference in color between a reg JD and a BGJD. Te blue gene is just a carrier of the recessive gene and does not display any change in color.

As far as what it actually is, it does look like a jewel but I'm not 100% certain.

I've never seen a BGJD have colors like that.
Older EBJD's usually lighten as they age.
I'm going to say it's either an older/lower grade EBJD or Jewel.
