BGK and Banded carapo suitable?

would BGKs and banded carapo be ok together?
say 3 to 4 banded, and 2 to 3 BGKs?

tank has bichirs, dat, geophagus and a 17 inch rtg.

i know the knives need to be big-ish.

BGK, are they slow growers?
agressive?

been reading up on posts.
some say that they grow half inch a month. would htey eat pellets/
i find that when i fed my dats, which pepole claimed to be a slow grower massivore and high protein pellets, it would grow very fast compared to just shrimp and bloodworms.

dothe BGKs eat pellets?
i really like htem, always have, but very weary cos if they grow slow, then i cant keep them with my aro.
with a 17 inch aro, how many inch do you think it should be?
the aro is very timid, its used to many many tank mates, its even with a 4.5 inch dat and 4.5 inch geophagus!!

in saying that, i dont want the knife eaten.

the bichirs always kill carapo or BLACK GHOST Knivefish...they are stronger...

Problem with the Bichirs is that they will see the knife fish tail as food and can strike at it. I feel it's the same with many predators and knifefish.

Not in the same tank. They won’t tolerate each other.

Love those goldline knifes!
There's a great video on YouTube of the giant gold line knife picking off feeder fish! Probably in the 30" range.
The one I had awhile back grew pretty slow and acted like a bgk.

Mine use to take pieces of pellets, cut up tilapia, bloodworms, earthworms, black worms, and ghost shrimp etc.
