As long as your feeding enough food, have enough hide spots then you'll be fine. both are territorial, but not aggressive. long as they can each have a hide spot they are comfortable with you shouldn't have issues, though occasionally you do see aggressive specemines of either ( imo this is gender based and since its very hard if not impossible to sex either species, trial and error) just like introduceing any new fish, keep an eye out for any aggression/incompatability issues.
BGK and Fire Eel compatibility

They should be fine together, both are peaceful fish. If youhad a ck or rck then it might be an issue downthe road.
They should be fine together. I have a 7"-8" BGK and a 7" Fire eel in a 45 show tank (36x12x26) with some baby senegal Poly's and the only time there is ANY stress in the tank if feeding time- but neither have gone at each other, just the food! They both LOVE cooked mini shrimp meat, earth worm pieces, tilapia filet niblets. I try to break it all up into nice bit sized pieces, because neither fish 'hew' their food...
