BGK diet?

The LFS i bought him from said he was eating frozen bloodworms and small frozen krill... does this sound right? I thought it was supposed to be pretty hard to get them on frozen food?

and you might wanna get some more fish they grow very slow ive had mine 6 months or more and he is only 5"
 
So, what i've been doing is pushing a cube of frozen bloodworms halfway in to the sand in his favorite hideout... it thaws quickly and creates a pocket of bloodworms in the sand. He chows down on it... have found this to be a very good technique with all bottom dwellers.
 
I was very worried about him being hard to feed... but I've found he eats pretty much everything I put in the tank.

Tonight (under lunar lights at 3 am), I saw him eat Hikari algae wafers and Hikari carnivore pellets! He regularly eats bloodworms... have not seen him touch frozen krill though.

yes they are the same tank, they squabble from time to time if one ventures to close to the others hidey whole. other than that nothing...:popcorn:
 
hey guys.. i used to give my bgk only blood worms.. then one day i saw him eat the hikari sticks meant for my silver arowana (yes.. i have my bgk with my silver aro) and now i tried giving him carnivore sinking pellets from hikari again and he loves it.. i used to feed earth worms too but now i've put a hold on live food... so anythin goes.. but for the lil guys i think blood worms or chopped earthworm should do great.. all the best... cheers mate..
 
My bgk is about 8" i think and he eats shrimp, krill, massivore. frozen blood worms seem to be its favorite it hits them as soon as it hits the water. one thing i noticed don't know if any one else's bgk dose this but i hear loud clicking sounds from the tank when he eats frozen blood worms.
