BGK size and feeding issue

Mine went crazy the first time I dropped in cut pieces of shrimp. You can give that a try.
 
They can grow pretty slow...1/2" per month would be considered a good growth rate. I've also heard of 1/4" per month as well.
 
You could try not giving him any food for a day or so and then try a different kind of worm...In the wild, in theory, they wouldn't get food everyday. You might have tried it, but other than bloodworms mine likes beef heart, mysis shrimp, the occasional neon.
 
I use frozen bloodworms as the basis for the diet of all my freshwater fish (except plecos, they love shelled frozen peas), but in a pinch or on a budget, soaking freezedried works, too. BGKs are extremely hard to wean off of benthic invertebrates, even impossible sometimes.
 
my bgks about 10 inches he loves carnivore tabs from hikari. and massivore .
my brown ghosts kill the frozen bloodworms.and tubifex.

your aro should eat anything that floats ;)
