So I am wanting to condense some tanks and i wanna do away with the current tank the BGK is in. I initially wanted to put him in with my oscar but mr oscar didnt like so im gonna grow him out some more and try again. The BGK is about 6 inches and would be going in with a couple 3 inch bichirs a 2 inch leaf fish and four 2-3 inch congo tetras in a 40 breeder. this would only be temporary. my concern is that the BGK will kill any of the fish. i know its gonna come down to every fish is diff but should i risk it? the BGK has grown several inches since i last tried to put him in with the oscar but then again so has the oscar...its about 10 inches now...i dont really have room for any tanks and his current one has to go...thanks

i have a 5 -6 inch bgk in with 8 congos 2 2" clown loaches and a 8" sen and a 5 " sen and they all get along really well never have any prblems at all

my BGK and endli has never had any issues.endli was 6" when i placed the 3" BGK in the same tank.BGK is now 9" and endli is 11 to 12" and they just ignore each other.

I've had my BGK with small fish before. Some of the little fish were missing some eyes...didn't think it was the BGK, but now I wonder as I lost a Fei Feng in a tank with the same BGK and it lost an eye as well.

benjamin, base on my experience the bgk usually are the ones who does the "missing eye" from other fishes. i knew that coz when i had a small bgk before (totally noob back then) and put him in a 10g tank and put some wild guppies there. i notice evry morning that the guppies seems to be missing some eyes.

i have a senegal with my bgk. they arent bad tankmates at all. the bgk will nudge the bichir out of his area if he gets too close but besides that they are fine. senegal bichirs are tough little buggers!

My 5" endli tried to eat a 4" BGK
