BGK with voracious appetite. possible to eat too much?

Shoot... I wish I could get my BGK to be a little more aggressive with the eating. Seems like a good problem to me! Mine only likes shrimp pellets and bloodworms but he does eat out of my hands!

Mines was like that till about 10". He's gotten more aggressive with age. I think he's about 4 to 5 yrs old. Keep his water clean and keep him alive, he'll change with time.

Great thread sounds like your BGK is bold and awesome. Mine seems to also eat too much. I keep big earthworms for her and sometimes i just stop when her belly is bursting. Some of my worms are 10 inches long so i regulate to make sure she does not burst.

Mine is like that too, as soon as the food hits the water BAM it's right there pushing everyone else away and inhales the food faster than I can keep track. All I can say is similar to others, I just keep track of how big it's stomach is getting and stop giving food. Not sure how yours acts but if I stop feeding mine and it can't find food for a bit it just gives up and goes back to it's hiding place, then I add more food and the rest of my polys get to eat.
