I keep an 11 inch BGK with 4 Bronze Cories, several Danios, and Buenos Aires Tetras. They have been together for over a year - no issues.

could they swallow something as small as a phantom tetra or a German blue ram

When 15 inches, they could probably eat small fishes that could fit in thier mouths. But when they are small, they only eat the eyes of the fishes.

How has the BGK been raised - prepared foods or live feeders?

You could try feeding it worms, sometimes feedit market shrimp.

Does any body have any personal experiences that involve BGK killing other fish or eating their eyes.

i have had mine for just over a year, its around 10".
never bothered other fish.
Kept with bichirs, a Clown knife, an angelfish, a pangasius catfish, lima shovelnose and a few plecos.
Most tankmates are of similar size.
