A bit of a gamble on my part, always something that we deal with..
I managed to introduce a 4" senegal and a 6" ornate with my 13" delhezi.
I was a little worried that they may become an expensive feeder.
however they have grown out just fine
sometimes things work, sometimes things don't

thats a gamble but you manage to pull it off, just make sure the little guy has hiding space for from the delhzi and be sure to feed your ornate well to grow big

It did not take the little guy long to become one of the big guys. His growth was nothing short of amazing.
The ornate is quite a hog as well, he has put on 2 inches in 2 months

amazing growth. My bichirs grow real slow... its because of competition with my rays. :(

I had the same problem when I first got my Delhezi, the cichlids would hog any food put into the tank. I found two solutions
#1-I set up the little feeding "shelter" in a corner. I use a tube to direct food into it, only the bichers can get through the tube to eat-works well but collects crap like you would not believe.
#2-What I do mainly now is feed the bichers at night and immediatly turn off all the lights in the room. The other fish cannot compete with the night feeding qualities of the bichers(cats excluded of course)

Delhezi is averagely not that aggressive. Also, the hiding spots help to work things out. Infact, I more worry about the cichlid on the background. You never know untill you try. There could be a very aggressive ornate that killing tankmates, there also could be a peaceful arowana that live with small bichirs like the photo below (don't try this in your tank):
