I know I think I’ll only get one per species because of the aggression and the juveniles that I almost can’t give away because the LFS around are all chains like Petco etc.

Also do they need a planted tank? I won’t plant the tank but I’ll add lots of driftwood and stones from a little river nearby so he’ll have lots of caves and hiding spots...
Don’t need a planted tank. Just plant a little deep as some uprooting can happen. It’ll be small and negligible with a Senegalus.
Do yourself a favor and consider polli's too. I currently keep a wc polli and an albino senegal in a 75 with a few mild mannered cichlids. I used to keep delhezis and standard senegalus as well. Polli is by far my favorite of the UJ i've kept. Very outgoing. Very unique looking. Very thick and not shy.
My Polli is very active, my retro has started getting a little adventurous, my del was fairly active too and sens are most active ones I’ve seen
