I just liked having the senegals and then someone (I forget who) mentioned the term "poly quest" and I took it literally - started dreaming of having all the species and went crazy. So, whoever you were, thankyou lol

I have always liked em because they remind me of some type of dinosaur or sea serpent. I am finally going to get one (I'm getting it as a "gift" !) An albino senegal, is this going to be my point of no return?

Reading these posts is hysterical.. there truly is an addiction for these Bichir's.. I had mine for 3 weeks and it was injured on rough surface inside a ship that the fish used to hide.. when i found him i had to hold myself back from crying like a baby..he meant that much to me.. why i have no idea yet.. he just did! They are different.. they have such cute actions,, biting and chewing and playing with their food like a dog.. racing everywhere.. i just adored him that quick!! Going to pick up two new ones today.. cannot wait!! Looking forward to them like they were a new puppy..haha..
p. delhezi was the first fish I ever saw a picture of on the internet. I was looking up fish to get for my first tank, a 29 gallon. and at that moment i knew i wanted one. just i couldnt get one in that tank, so i got a 75 gallon like 6 months later and bought a baby delhezi. unfortunately he got sucked into a powerhead, because it fell off the tube for the underground filter. so after that i bought 2 ornates and gave one to my dad. then recently i bought an albino senegal. and i plan on getting another delhezi soon.
