Bichir Brain Damage?

hmmm the only thing i can say is it might have got some external injury after drying up quite bad.
better is keep the water as clean as possible and see if the fish does get any infection or something on the skin to which you might need act as soon as possible with meds.
the best infection and fungal meds for a bichir i have ever used was tetracyclin, it brought my ornate back from a stage where i could i see the spine of the fish as most of the skin and flesh had been eaten up by the fungus on it
