Bichir care plz!

snakeheads are a nice alternative, and they seem to live well with bichirs, however they are extremly aggressive. a smaller species of gar like Florida or spotted also might work well, but without the snakehead

Snakeheads or Gars can't be properly house with Bichirs IMO, most of the cases where Gars/Snakeheads share the tank with a Bichir, most polypterus will suffer bullying, bite marks, nips, worst some may end up headless...

There a lot of selection for Snakeheads tho, but most of them are pigs, you may have only have a shot feeding polys in the night when the lights are off, and that's the case, when you do feed at night Snakeheads tends to be skittish which might lead to it's jumping and really, it's a pain to get a wiggly snakeheads inside a tank again.

My Snakehead lives fine with the birchir.. They share food. Rather then being aggressive together. Much like brothers but most of the time they don't really care about each other..
