I did a wc today, and when i was done, I looked in the tank to see my 3.5" sen with a lump in its throat as if it just ate a big pellet.

I left him alone for a while, didn't work.

Took him in a net and tried to get him to spit it out, didn't work, but I did feel that it is in fact a piece of gravel due to how hard the lump was.

Last I checked, he still had the lump in his throat... What can I do :'(

FCK GRAVEL

Do you have any long tweezers? I have found it extreeemely handy to keep a varied array of tweezers around [from 1" to like 8"], I've had to perform such emergency surgeries before; only on larger fish usually, and thankfully the obstructions were within reach. Poor little guy, I hate gravel too :c

Mother Monster just summed up what I would try...
If you can't reach it and it is in fact a piece of gravel and unless he coughs it up himself I don't think there's much hope :(

what if you try squeezing it out with your fingers from the outside?

I don't think I have one, but I couldn't get him to open his mouth out of the water.

Big Paper clip or something like that..if you have no tweezers just open and bend and be careful maybe keep him partially in water and he can open his mouth.

If you bend the ends over just right will be no sharp points just a thought.

If he isn't showing any sign of distress and is able to eat normally and swim normally. I say best to just leave it in there.
Hopefully he would regurgitate it by himself.
