Bichir for 75 with Midas??

Sorry for intruding but I was considering doing the same.. However different specs.
I have a 135 with a Female Midas 9-10", JD, and 6 Pink convicts.. Several rocks and drift wood.

Is it still a bad idea?

It should be hard to get food to the bichir(s) with the cichlids, but it might work if the bichirs are big enough.

a LFS has an 8.5-10in endlicheri for $100. I would love to get that guy, but dont know if i am willing to risk losing that money if my midas goes ape/s on it.

The endli would outgrow that tank in a year or two anyway.
