bichir pair question

Yeah they're a blast when you have more than one! I've got three Senegals, a Delhezi, and am looking into getting an Ornate.

Oh and I mustn't forget Snookie my Black Ghost Knife. He lives with the three Senegals.

Don't mean to move off topic but...

How does the Ghost get along with the Senegals? I have a couple Senegals and a Ropefish but I've always loved the way Black Ghost Knives have looked. I always have to stop myself from buying on impulse but also because I'm not sure how they'd do with Bichirs.

Knifes and Sens get along great. VERY compatible.

Oh no just curious lol, I probably should've saved the Q for the thread I ended up making but whatever. Sorry to hear about your Delhezi. =\ I had one too recently but gave it away because it had become the runt of my tank and thought it would be better on its own.

sorry about the late reply; was the post along with some other members that posted their senegals fighting with each other or other bichirs.

Then again, seemed like it's luck of the draw that sometimes you get a nice and mellow one, and sometimes, you get a bully.

My 12 inch 3 year old ornate turns out to really like her new little buddy senegal i added. She just layed eggs today . Hopefully he did his job too. Anyone else ever having breeding bicher love going on ?

I ended up trading in the little troublemaker

(I think she was jealous 'cuz the other two are doing the breeding dance!!)

for a Delhz today(but that's another post) and they all get along great!!

No prob MC, saw` good stories and bad, still doing more research, but def. leaning on getting another one. They are cute, and mine now learned to also eat pellets with the cichlids. Food def. a good motivator.
