The red stuff stopped coming out the next morning. Now there is a little bit of white fluff where it was coming out at. He managed to stay still this time.

Treat with Metronidazole or API General Cure if you can't find straight Metro. Treat every 48 hours with a 25% water change before each treatment. Treat for 10 days. Do a large 50% water change and substrate vacuming before starting treatment. Do you have your water perameters?
