You could maybe test out the differing (if they are different) aggression levels between males and females of the same type of bichirs (ie: senegal).

there bites dont hurt to bad......... but watch out for the spines thos really do hurt bad. i have got bitten by 3 diff bichirs but the endlichir definatly hurt the most he was like 15 inchs long just dislocated my finger when he tryed to rip it off my hand cuz he thought it was food. now the small ones like ur just feels funny no pain at all.
