i found out quite quickly that people dont tend to respond to threads like this without getting sarcastic or abusive lol!
just my 10 pence worth!

thanks dude for the tip. i have 2 baby spotted puffers their about 1 1/2 inches and the bichir is 3 1/2 inches.

What kind of "spotted" puffers??? Some puffers like brackish ones may not need a salt requirement when young, but do tend to start out in a higher pH, hardness envirnoment.

I know for a fact that baby Figure 8s or Red Eye puffers and polys don't mix.

Stu :)

bad combination, soon or later those puffer will start nipping your bichir.

Puffers of any type are best in a species tank. They will either harass or be harassed, to death. The amount of ornery they have should be packed into a body the size they are when they blow up.
