Alrighty hello again my lovely poly peeps as many of you know I have my two bichirs(Loki and Gucci my son and my del respectively) in our 55g community/grow out and I was wondering if I could have a ropefish in there as well or do you think the bichirs may try to eat the rope? Loki and Gucci are only about 3.3-4inches long right now. Discuss

Ropes should be fine to add as they are usually brought in large.

What are Loki and Gucci?
I lost a rope to my two teugelsi. I have 12 ropes in with about 10 polys now no more teugs. The teugs were around 18". So I think if its over 12 to 13 you may lose some. I just updated my thread you can see them all living together peacefully now.

Yes you will be good.
My tank has 2 butts, 3 dels, moke, Palmas, polli, lf sen, albino, sen. Like I said above I had two teugelsi but they decided to do bad things. They killed and ate a rope that was a little on the smaller side compared to the other ropes anyway. So I wouldnt trust ropes with very large ujs or large ljs. Atm my ropes range in size from around the size of a standard pencil to what I'd consider full grown 16" and about 1/2" diameter. Biggest poly is female del at about 14" probably 11/2 " diameter. Also ropes tend to be social get a few say 3 if possible.

magpie magpie could I keep the ropes in the 55? I know the Senegal and delhezi will be too big but what about them noodles?

Not for life but while they are juvenile. They can get to 16" like twentyleagues twentyleagues has stated.
