Sorry for not posting the progress, had to go to class. Before class i finally got him out with a water pump, it took awhile though. Unfortunately he was dead when i got him out.

Sorry for your loss. I would get something to screen the overflow so that way it doesnt happen again...bichirs are crazy little fishes.

Sorry for ur loss. Guess it suffocated in there without atmospheric air. Happen to mine too
