Bichir swim upside down

My delhezi exhibits a similar behavior. At first I though it was indigestion, but he's been like this for a couple months now. He still eats, but he definitely has trouble swimming, and he does look like he's about to die when he swims up to the surface. I hope your issue is an air bubble of some sort, because mine seems to be something else entirely.

This morning when i wake up and saw my arowana lay down the floor and freak me out i guess he jumped out! He passed away. This is my first arowana, kept for 3month+ and only 8 inch. What a lost. Anyways when i check my bicher, its bucket seems to have transparent slimy stringy fluffy thing i guess its the slime coat. I then put him back into the tank as i need to use the bucket to carry my arowana and burry it. Yes. He is breathing heavily but others are not.
