Bichir swimming weird partern and seems crazy.

My baby ornate have been swiming up and down around my filters for like 3days straight. I have no idea why and how to stop this.
is that even normal?

Water para are good at 0amonia 0nitrite and perhaps 20-40ppm nitrate.
Slightly lower ph at 6.

It can do that. Does it seem it’s having a problem with staying down? Tries to back up or tail up when not swimming?

nope…he is well sometimes when he look for food at night. But this swimming partern is bugging me.

Any idea how to reduce that?
i have plenty of space for him to hide.

Just make sure there are no gaps the Ornate could jump through. Is the Ornate eating? If possible post a video of the swimming behavior.

The younger the bichir the more active they are. UJs tend to be more active compared to LJs as well
