This week I was forced to move my bichir tank and my snail tank to the new fish room ahead of schedule which caused the loss of my beloved sultan pleco and BGK. This happened because I couldn't find adequate help or transport on short notice(my landlord threatened to unplug my tanks and I threatened charges and a lawsuit) so what should of taken 1 trip and 1.5-2 hours took 3 trips and 7 hours
. This move does have an upside I was able to drastically lower the bioload on the tank. It now only has the 12 bichirs, 4 eels, the afer knife fish, 2 small meat eating plecos, 2 raphael catfish, and an eel tail banjo catfish. What was removed was 10 plecos ranging from 5" to 12", the 2 butis butis, and unfortunately te BGK. I was also able to add a very large piece of spiderwood which they love as you will see. Now to the videos
Here they are after one day at the new place and they are already eating
I also wanted to include this video of the Butis Butis in their new tank, but first an explanation. The Butis Butis were supposed to only be in a tank with just them and mosquito fish but a young sailfin molly accidently got moved there in the confusion well he saw those big beautiful Butis Butis and decided they must be females so tried to mate with them even when they were swimming on their side or upside down needless to say after an hour I netted Romeo up for his protection
