This week I was forced to move my bichir tank and my snail tank to the new fish room ahead of schedule which caused the loss of my beloved sultan pleco and BGK. This happened because I couldn't find adequate help or transport on short notice(my landlord threatened to unplug my tanks and I threatened charges and a lawsuit) so what should of taken 1 trip and 1.5-2 hours took 3 trips and 7 hours :(. This move does have an upside I was able to drastically lower the bioload on the tank. It now only has the 12 bichirs, 4 eels, the afer knife fish, 2 small meat eating plecos, 2 raphael catfish, and an eel tail banjo catfish. What was removed was 10 plecos ranging from 5" to 12", the 2 butis butis, and unfortunately te BGK. I was also able to add a very large piece of spiderwood which they love as you will see. Now to the videos

Here they are after one day at the new place and they are already eating

I also wanted to include this video of the Butis Butis in their new tank, but first an explanation. The Butis Butis were supposed to only be in a tank with just them and mosquito fish but a young sailfin molly accidently got moved there in the confusion well he saw those big beautiful Butis Butis and decided they must be females so tried to mate with them even when they were swimming on their side or upside down needless to say after an hour I netted Romeo up for his protection

I have to wonder if it is a common issue for fish keepers who are currently renting to have issues with the property owners / real-estate. I am also in a rental and keep a number of tanks (6) but I keep them well maintained and don't cause any damage to the property and pay for the electricity so If your like me I don't see the issue with our hobby but like you I believe the land lord is not happy with my tanks. The lease said no pets but in Australia that means like dogs and cats etc. I think they are much worse much worse than a few tanks........Sorry about your Pleco and BGK that really sucks. BGK take ages to grow....

well the landlord had approved the fish but he found out I was sharing a commercial space with an ex-tenant of his that he ran off and was moving a bunch of tanks there so he had given me a 10 day ultimatum to move them there unfortunately the place wasn't ready electrically and the electrician he uses was supposed to come out last week 3 separate times but the landlord kept giving him extra things to do then I was supposed to have a handyman friend come work saturday and sunday but when he showed up at my house saturday I was at the fish room and my landlord saw him and put him to work, I can't blame my friend he is very hard up for money in fact the reason I wasn't there when he showed up was his phone is cut off and he was running late so I thought he wasn't going to show, then my landlord shorted him on pay.

here is the rest of the fish room so far
