how much and how frequently do these bichirs eat.

I personally feed my smaller Senegal bichir everyday a few pellets and sometimes skip a day. My large mature bichir get fed every other day. Your endli will be fine if you skipped a day or two.

that's a relief. it's quite shy unlike my albino senegal who is continously darting around in the tank. thanks a lot

Typically you look at the head shape and body.
CB bichirs have more of a frog face head, with the eyes popping out due to continuous inbreeding.
WC bichirs have a more slender head shape. Photo is one of my WC ansorgii bichirs.

Good luck, WC are harder to find and more expensive. There was an eBay seller that was also here on mfk that had wild bichirs. I think it was fish_station or something like that

Head and body shape, CB are more squat and have blunter heads
