bichirs after a few months

Some people get away with it but 99% of the timde it ends with the pleco sucking on the bichir,how big is your tank?.
Have you thought about a flagtail?.
Or have you thought of getting a glass scraper/cleaner?

For me its always going to be a nay on the pleco,as much as i like em i dont like them more than my bichirs.

tank is 30"x18" base x 24". ive seen flagtails for sale at my LFS, but they r pricey. but they would make it look better than my brown algae covered tank.

As for the scraper option, I would have to find one that is long, so i can reach the back of the tank. But they r available. i have a mag float but it does nothing for the back glass section of the tank.
