Now i have more confidence. Thanks everyone. I have a delhezi, ornate, and senegal. It will be a equal size match up. I was woried id have to get rid of my bichirs all day. I was so sad. hahahahaha
Does people with the nipping going on actually know that it is the bichirs doing it? (for those who have multiple rays in the tank). My males bites on the females from time to time.

Its both in my tank, I see my bichirs do it during feeding time..they bite the disks to make the rays let go of the fish, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. The rays suction cup themselves to the bottom and the bichirs have a hard time stealing so either they bite or they sometimes squeeze themselves in from the rear of the ray and usually come out a winner.
I have had no problems, as long as keep the size ratio close but I have had large rays and small pups in my predator tank at time and no problem at all. I do have lots of cover and hidding spots for the bichers and they pretty much make claim to there cave and everyone leave everyone alone. Here a link to my predator tank with a 8" marble motoro that been in there since he was a pup.
Wow I wish my basement was an aquarium that is awesome what are your stock plans for the 1600 gallon......sorry to get off topic but I currently have 2 bichers an ornate and sen with my juvenile motoro and theres no aggression between them but when I feed them the ray won't put up with the bichers trying to steal his food if they do he stands his ground and scares them away but no physical harm yet.
