Bichirs eating feeders?

I don't feed my polys feeders they don't need them. Frozen Krill, Frozen Silversides, Frozen Bloodworms, and Massivore/Cichlid Gold that's all I feed my polys...Plus I avoid minnows and goldies for the reason above. (my RES is 5 years old and 4" because he was fed goldies and little WC for 3 out of the 5 years)

The only time I feed feeders is when I have new fish (or a stubborn one).

I much rather feed Massivore Delight as 1 pellet is equal to 1.8 of a comet (thats almost 2 feeders for every pellet).

But......... when I do, I put them in a QT tank

On topic, yes ive seen Polys eat feeders. My last 14" Endli ate a 4" Loach:irked:

but its not as fun to watch a poly just pellets, when they eat feeders its like watching nature take place

I feed all my fish feeders about once or twice a month. Goldfish contain thiaminase but are also pretty fatty. A lil fat never hurt any body..emphasis on "lil"...considering none of my staple foods have much fat in them.

my sens ruthlessly hunt down goldies though
