hey Lou, have you seen any T.gars around yet?

Full tank shots would be nice man!

excellent update Infblue!!! Toyin is calling those things p.palmas palmas, but whatever they are they look very sharp! the gars are looking great too. definately a killer tank.

btw did you ever look into getting the 3m sand? i am going to put it in mine soon. my new tank is repaired but i am still testing the plumbing for leaks. it should be ready next week...i cant wait.

thanks for sharing :)

nice, you got the top and bottom covered. what about the middle

thanks. yeah i call them palmas palmas too. it looks quite different from regular p.buettikoferi and is much harder to come by. but theres really not much info out there so its always hard to know for sure...and unlike ansorgii there's no unique patterning and such to distinguish the subspecies.

i still need to find a local distributor of the 3m sand. hopefully it works out. too bad the larger grade doesn't have as much color to choose from. i'm glad you were able to get your tank fixed. i might need to ask you later how heavy or light it is in water. i'm guessing they can get sucked up easily by the gravel vacuum just like regular sand?
