bichirs safe with syno eupterus(lace catfish)?

yes they do, if you want to keep bichirs, then set up a tank with a decent size just for them. Always go with the big tank, but just dont mix bichirs with other fish, bichirs only do well with other bichirs. Have a look at stickies for more info on bichirs and look through other people thread in this forum, there are plenty of information on bichirs.

really, i have a 5-6'' featherfin syno with my bichirs for 3 months no with no signs of this behavior

Because its small and you haven't had it very long mine hadn't started till it reached 8"

I wouldn't keep them with my polys but you definitely can keep other fish with them and they do really well with all sorts of fish just keep in mind that they are predators and will eat other fish that will fit in there mouths.

My bichir and lace get along fine I haven't have any problems and they have been together for 6+ months my lace did suck on my Bullhead tho

I have experimented(sadly) with my bichirs and the 2 lace synos i have(one is 7" and the other 5"). THEY BOTH SUCK ON THE SLIME. Even when its well fed. Its more like a nibble not a straight attack for food. I have watched carefully with moonlights on, its more like a territorial harassment dispute that sucks the slime right off the bichir. PLEASE DO NOT KEEP YOUR BICHIRS with these guys, I started this thread, and after months of looking into my own fish, ITS A MATTER OF WHEN and not IF they will do this behavior or not. GOOD LUCK everyone!!
